Invites to a baby shower via email???

Question

So my close friend is planning my baby shower, which is so amazing of her and I’m so grateful! She has a beyond busy schedule, so it means a lot. Especially since I wasn’t planning on having a shower. She asked me for peoples emails cause she’s going to do an evite for it. I don’t know why I assumed but I thought we would mail out some pretty invitations. Is sending an evite tacky? Or if you got a shower invite via email would it be weird? I’m not sure, this is my first baby🤷🏻‍♀️ I always got any invites via mail, so I just assumed I guess.

I prefer mailed invites. not everyone checks their email. Maybe volunteer to send them yourself.

I did mine on Facebook but email is kinda unusual I'd I got an email invite I would forget I was invited.  
In a nice way tell ur friend u appreciate ervything but u were always excited and looking forward to mailing your invitations... offer to do it since shes busy n that probably y she wants to email them

We sent mine via evite and I’ve received so many shower invites for friends via evite that I think it’s normal. I’d prefer an evite over a paper one so I don’t think it’s tacky. The only thing is when I do invite grandparents I send a paper invite to them as my grandma doesn’t know how to use a computer 😂

My best friend sent ours out as evites. It’s way easier for people to respond to (she sent out save the dates too first, and people could respond and ask questions before RSVPing). I thought I wanted paper invites too at first but it was much easier to have the line of communication open considering she hasn’t ever spoken to a lot of these people (like my husband’s family members).

Evites are much more common now, for any older (less tech savvy guests) I would give them a heads up so they don’t miss it!

I never get invites for anything through paper.. haha we did Facebook invites and texts.

I love paper invites, but rarely get RSVP’s. Our world is digital & you’ll probably get a better response with an e-vite anyway.
