Marijuana?!

Okay so I want to know everyone’s opinion on this topic because I know a lot of people that believe that smoking marijuana isn’t bad while being pregnant. What? My idea of it is on the the other side of the fence. I feel like bad and unsafe but Idk I’m not a doctor I know it’s legal to smoke in some states but even in those states I’m still kinda iffy

Remember people shoot Drugs while they’re pregnant..and healthy babies are born....NOT SAYING THAT IS OK but it’s your choice, Ive used it a couple of times to curb nausea but I don’t smoke cigs anymore or smoke pot like I used to. My doctor said quit smoking CIGS and nothing about pot.....I’d rather use pot to curb nausea or a headache rather than taking drugs that are KNOWN to cause birth defects. 🤰🏻

I know a lot of ppl who smoked weed during there entire pregnancy and nothing was wrong with the baby. I also know others who only smoked during the first trimester to help the nausea, and the baby was completely healthy. you can be completely healthy, not on drugs, and something could happen to the baby. I say to each their own. what ever you do to your body is your choice and will have to live with the consequences.

My cousin in law was prescribed medical marijuana by her doctor in her second trimester because of her severe nausea and vomiting. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Smoking anything is unsafe while pregnant or not.
But Marijuana without THC is not going to harm your child. The studies that have been done have only shown low birth weights (about 1/2 lb) as a side effect.
It is safer than many medications and will help someone with anxiety which is proven to harm a pregnancy.

Listen... smoking here and there isn’t gonna do anything, you’ll be fine. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had the same question then I asked people I know for their opinions, turns out most of them smoked occasionally while pregnant- they have perfectly normal kids, perfectly well in school, and healthy🤷🏻‍♀️ probably not a good idea to do it constantly constantly, but a hit here and there will be ok

I smoked it pre-pregnacy, but its just not worth the risk to me. I'd rather be safe, and going less than a year without smoking weed is not a big deal🤷‍♀️

My mom did with me and my 5 siblings. She didn't use it to get high, only to calm down her nausea. I did at first only because I have Hypermesis Gravidarum and had no insurance and opulent pull $200 for the medication they prescribed. I used it as a temporary solution until I was able to get my insurance back. Since then I haven't used it. I usually weed when not pregnant but only when my child is sleeping. I use it medically because taking 5 pills a day with risks of stroke or liver/kidney damage is not what I want especially since I've been close to kidney failure.
