Maternity leave for stillborns, miscarriages, etc?

I was watching 'A Current Affair' on Youtube, and the most current video is of an Australian couple whose employer immediately retracted a woman's paid maternity leave after finding out about her stillborn child, which was retracted under the "Fair Work Act". She was forced to return to work 6 weeks later. In Canada, this also seems to be a grey area. Should women who give birth to stillborn children and who have miscarriages be entitled to some sort of paid maternity leave?
