Am I a bad mom??

Question

If I formula feed and give breast milk through bottle?? I pump at least 3 to 4 oz per breast. Her latching isn’t good and it hurts!!! She is honestly not getting enough milk when she is on the breast because of so. Me and her dad has this conversation last night and I just feel some type of way. Anyone else in this situation?

The only way you'd be a bad mom is if you don't feed her. Give that baby formula and breast milk! That's awesome your still offering the breast milk. No shame in supplementing.

Your feeding her and loving and comforting her. That makes you the best mom for her 💕 be confident in your decisions, you have her entire life to worry so don’t sweat the small stuff, if she’s getting fed and gaining weight then that’s what matters.

Of course this doesn't make you a bad mother. My baby doesn't want to BF even with the help of various LC and with no medical issues, but I pump and bottle feed. Never had to supplement in the 6 months of pumping, I highly recommend it since you have enough milk.

Nothing negligent about feeding. I plan to breastfeed at the breast and also give breastmilk through the bottle (so that dad & family can feed baby).

Definitely not a bad mom but i totally understand how you are feeling. We ended up feeding our LO out of a bottle so my husband could feed her and give me a break since he has not been able to feed her and she is 2 months. We did beeastmilk with formula and our LO slept for 6 hours so i got sleep it was nice!

It’s ok to feel this way but it doesn’t make you a bad mom. I am currently breast feeding and bottle feeding formula. At first I was so upset I just couldn’t handle the pain from the raw nipples I was getting and so forth but my baby needed fed and that’s what matters the most. Do what you feel is best and know it’s ok whatever you decide to do
