What to expect at the eye doctor?

I am 15 and having my first eye exam on Monday. I am wondering what they are going to do.

One thing that I wish I had known is checking the pressure of your eyes. There’s a machine where you look at a little red barn in the distance and then the machine shoots a puff of air at your eye. It doesn’t hurt but it makes me jump every time

read charts, cover each eye and read charts. shine light in them. check the health. all pretty standard stuff, nothing scary

Just a lot of looking at your eye really closely and having you read charts from a distance

They’ll look in your eyes, make you read letters off of those sheets, and they’ll probably do this thing where they move this plastic machine thing really close to your eyes and you can’t blink. It seems really scary when you think about it, but it’s really not bad. They might dilate your eyes, but they might not. It’s not bad. Nothing to worry about.
