Friends over Phone down?

Justice

I’m having a slight issue that I’d love some opinions on.

See me and my partner live 911 miles away, a sweet long distance relationship we got going on here.

When she has company over or when she’s out and about with friends, family, etc., I always tell her I’ll talk to her later and let her hang with her friends. The issue is, she doesn’t like it. I feel as though it’s rude of me and her to be texting each other when she has company over, she on the other hand wants to talk to me because we don’t live together and we don’t talk much. She’s exclaimed on how she feels that I’m making the decisions for her and that her friends will always be there and she’s known them longer than me so it doesn’t matter. What do you guys think? Is it rude of me to “ignore” her when she’s around company, or is it rude of us to talk between ourselves when people are around? I just feel as though when you have people over, the attention should be on them. Let me know, thank you!
