I'm assuming we are talking about in love. No one is in love 24/7 in a relationship. There's rough patches or just times where you don't feel the love or feel lost. It's completely normal. You and your partner have to keep working on keeping that in love feeling there.
If it's an ex, you know you don't love them anymore once your heart stops aching and you feel peace.
