Going home outfit??

Okay so I suddenly just got overwhelmed realizing I'm having a baby in late November and have NO idea what should be his going home outfit. This is my first baby so I have no experience with this. Lol. I'm worried I will either dress him too little and he will be cold or I will over dress him and he will be way too hot. I live in the PNW so it gets pretty chilly and rainy that time of year. Any recommendations from mamas with babies born in cold months?

I packed an entire diaper bag and it had multiple outfits in it. I kept it in my car in Hope's that I'd visit him in NICU and they'd finally tell me he could come home

My baby girl was born in October. But we live in CA, so it wasn’t THAT cold lol this was her going home outfit.

Just last sure you have a couple of sizes so there’s options. I’m taking a newborn outfit and a 0-3 month, just to be safe

I'm from Scandinavia and my first was born in March and I'm expecting my second in October. I put my first in a thick pyjamas and had a blanket on him on our way to the car. Will do the same with this one.

I brought my daughter home in a footed sleeper and put a blanket over her once she was strapped into the car seat.

I think a good rule of thumb is one more layer than you would wear. You’ll probably have baby wrapped in a blanket too. I’m having my son beginning of Oct but I live in Fl so I know it will still be pretty warm, he’ll probably come home in a sleeper or short sleeve onesie/pant set with socks.

My baby will be born in November. I live in Texas so you never know what the weather is like. He will probably come home in long sleeves regardless though. My other son was born in August and came home in a light long sleeve sleeper and hat. It’s cold in the hospital and the air was on in the car lol he was fine.
