When should I start buying baby things?

I’m only 3 months pregnant and my mom is on my ass saying I should already be buying diapers and wipes, a little something every week so when the time comes I won’t be last minute. 
 I am doing a program with my doctors where I watch videos and earn points and the points allow me to get anything the baby needs. 
I’ve also have had in mine the baby shower supplies too, so I’ve not been rushing to buy things. (I thought that around month 6 or 7 I would start reaaaaallly shopping)

it's never to early, buy different types of wipes and diapers and formula though because you wont know if your baby is going to have a reaction to one or the other until he or she is here

This is my 4th high risk pregnancy and I have a history of being put on bed rest, so I really like the idea of getting things done early as possible. You never know what the end of the pregnancy might bring!
I am really interested in learning more about this points program you are doing with your doctors. Is it similar to Swagbucks?

I waited until after my baby shower to buy most of the items. I talked with MIL and mom to see what big items they wanted to purchase and went from there. As far as diapers I wouldn’t buy to many bc you never know what size the baby is gonna be in.

It’s never too early. If you’re having a baby shower though I wouldn’t buy too much until then ! At my baby shower I got so much stuff I didn’t have to buy my daughter diapers for the first three months! And I had newborn size diapers I had to give away because I had too many lol. I also had my baby shower early at 25ish weeks. That’s what I’m doing again with this baby!

Start whenever you want to, but I've started preparing the nursery, furniture and other things, and I'm still trying. I admit I'm a bit of a weirdo.

I bought a pack of diapers and wipes a week 
Never can have to many of those 
And stores will let you exchange them if you have to many of a certain size but I bought size 2 and three cuss I know everybody else is going to be buying me newborn and 1’s 
About 12 dollars a week but 🤷🏾‍♀️ this is my third so I’m just a couple steps ahead

If you're having a shower I suggest waiting to purchase anything until after unless you find a really good sale or find a piece of clothing you really want baby to have, if you buy diapers make sure they're from somewhere you can exchange them for a different size or brand if needed. Even if people don't purchase things from the registry for your shower,  you get a 15% off discount on anything left on your registry (if registered at Amazon, Target, Buy Buy Baby, 10% for babylist) two months before your baby is due.  I also suggest doing a diaper raffle at your shower. As far as shower decorations go, is someone throwing you a shower? They might be planning on purchasing the decorations for you.

I am gonna wait for most stuff until after my baby shower. I have everything baby needs registered, so what I don’t get, I will just go out and buy. I am having my shower about 6-8 weeks before baby is due.

If you're having a baby shower I'd wait until after it's done so you don't have extra unnecessary things. If not then whenever you want really. I'm 30 weeks and haven't got anything yet but will start soon.
