Aww poor babe! I get that it can be tiring and frustrating but newborns aren’t able to soothe themselves. That’s why they advise against letting babies cry it out. Too much stress for long periods of time can lead to lifelong affects. I wouldn’t let him watch baby if the dad doesn’t understand that or you don’t trust he with soothe the baby the way a newborn needs to be nurtured. I’m glad you got home to love on him mama ❤️

If my husband let my baby cry like that just because he didn't want to hold him I'd be throwing him out the f'ing door. I get if he's overwhelmed and just needs a minute to himself, or if he has to briefly tend to another child, but just because he doesn't feel like holding him? I sure hope you raise hell when you get home. Or better yet, tell him now that if he doesn't do his job as a parent he wont be worthy of the title and you'll find someone more loving to do the job while you work (a grandparent, perhaps). This breaks my heart.

Oh hell fucking no. He’s a NEWBORN BABY! That poor thing is literally traumatized right now and needs comfort. I totally get that it’s exhausting to hold a baby all day (believe me I’m 9 weeks and counting!) but that’s what babies need at this age: affection, comfort, and consoling. If that was my husband I’d threaten to leave if a change wasn’t made NOW. And my ass would be setting up cameras to watch while I’m gone lol. That’s not the type of person I want raising my child.

I literally hold my baby all day so that she doesn't cry. When my husband comes home, he holds her. I would be beyond pissed if he let her sit and scream like that, especially at this age. Babies cry because they need something
