Was my BD date close enough for coverage???

So my husband has been gone for work a lot and we only got to BD once.  
It was the day that I started geting my LH surge, but it didn't peek until the next day.  So likely we

BD'd 2 days before ovulation.  Is that sufficient??

Sperm can stay in your body for around 4 days I think so theres a chance!
