Is this normal?

My 7 week old boy is always sticking his tongue in and out when he's awake.. is it normal or perhaps an indication of something??? 
An old woman said it was a sign of teething?

We just had our 2 month check up yesterday and I asked our pediatrician. She said it’s babies way of learning how to use their tongue, for when they are eating and stuff. Basically they are learning how to move their tongue to help move food around and swallow.

Mine does this also. I think it’s because it’s the first way they explore the world, by tasting and feeling everything with their mouth.

Mine does it! We’ve made a game out of it though. She greets us now by sticking her tongue out😂
