Baby due March 18. Best friends wedding is April 11. 😐 What would you do?

Hi lovely ladies, 
As the title says, I’m due March 18 and my best friends wedding is April 11. I was going to be one of his grooms(wo)men. Not sure if I should even go though. If baby comes a couple of weeks early it would be fine but if it’s on time or late, I don’t think I’d feel comfortable taking him/her out in public so soon and I definitely won’t be comfortable leaving bub while I go to the wedding. 
What would you do?? 
My friend doesn’t even know I’m pregnant yet as we aren’t telling anyone until 13 weeks. I feel bad though because I don’t want to let him down.

We wouldn’t go. I wouldn’t be willing to a) leave my newborn that soon or b) I wouldn’t be willing to bring my newborn around that many people if they allowed you to bring baby as an option. Baby comes first. A good friend will understand.

When you feel comfortable talking to your friend about your pregnancy, you could ask him how he would feel about you wearing the baby at the ceremony. That way baby would be close to you and protected by momma in a larger crowd. Just a thought...that’s what I did with my first son because he was born on 12-2-17 just before Christmas and we had a couple of larger family parties to attend. I wore him and kept him close to me so germs were less likely to get to him.

I’m due on 03-17 and my best friend in the absolute world is getting married on 04-04. Booking my mom a hotel room to help us out and not missing her wedding. One of my bridesmaids did the same. 
Can you make arrangements?

You could probably go and keep a low profile but I definitely would not recommend standing up in the wedding.

Thank you all for your comments. I really appreciate it and it has given me a lot to think about. If my friend and his wife will allow me to bring my Bub, I’ll likely go, but maybe not be involved in the wedding. 
It will actually be nice to just be a guest. Every wedding I’ve been to in the past 10 years I have either been the MOH, bridesmaid, MC or celebrant (marriage officiant) so I think it will be quite lovely just being a guest for a change. 
I’ll call him when I’m 13 weeks and have a chat about what he would prefer. 🥰🥰🥰

Yah considering your involvement will probably be well before April 11 I would have a conversation right when you are comfortable announcing that you will likely not be able to participate.
I’m also due March 18 and I am so upset I will likely miss our dear friends wedding on March 28 😭

I was due on my friends wedding date. I had her the day before the wedding and sadly missed it. She understood. But otherwise you can organise a family member to babysit for 2 hours and make a quick appearance?

I'm due 3/20. One of my best friends is having a destination wedding on 5/23 & a destination bridal shower sometime in April.  I don't want to miss it all.... don't know what I'm going to do yet.

My friend missed my wedding because she was pregnant with twins and couldn’t travel. It’s fine, i 100% understood, it’s just life, it happens! 😃 coincidently, now I’m pregnant with twins!! Lol
