How early do you know your induction date?

Hi guys! 
I had another prenatal appointment today and my doctor mentioned that because my blood pressure has been on the higher side but not really high (never over like 135/87) that I’ll be induced between 1-2 weeks early.
I wanted to know how soon, if you’re being induced or have been induced, that you knew the date? How do you know when to tell your family and friends to plan travel?

The last time they told me the day of... I went in and did an nst and they told me to head to the hospital that evening.

Depends, since it's not that high I'm surprised that's an option! I'm 36 weeks and have had pretty high BP and still dont know what's going to happen. Last week my doctor told me to be packed and ready just in case. I have an appointment this week so maybe they will induce me then or atleast set up a date.

We have had the induction date picked out since 28w. We spoke to my ob about the situation and since elective inductions are at 39w they gave us 4 days to pick from. If the induction is because of medical reasons then it’s a bit more unpredictable

The day of last time. This time I just got a general window, and the date will be set sometime soon I hope. My coworker  that just had her baby didn't know her induction date until 2 days before, and they changed the time on her right up until the day she was induced.

With my first I was only given two days notice. This time they said at my first appointment that we would do everything the same since it worked out so well last time. So we didn’t book the induction yet but I know which week it will be.

Found out mine today with 12 days to go until the date.

With my last I knew from my first appointment I’d be induced around 39 weeks, however my dr didn’t actually book it until like a week and a half before, so I didn’t know the exact date until then.
