When did everyone first start buying stuff for their babies/ nurseries?

Immediately when we became pregnant!! We also had 3 baby showers. We immediately bought everything we needed, crib, car seat, changing tables, diapers, and then at 16 weeks we found out the gender of our baby and then immediately started painting and decorating! We had everything our baby wanted and needed, and we weren’t rushed at all to get things done before the due date.

Since week 15 I've been in hardcore research mode, finding all the products I want to use, comparing prices, taking measurements and making floor plans, etc. My hubby and I just bought our first two pieces of art for the nursery this week and I'm finalizing decisions on what furniture we want in the next few weeks. My mom and I plan on having the baby shower in early November, so I want to finish the bulk of the nursery by then. 😊

I started at 28 weeks but haven't set any thing up and it's still in the boxes. I also have only gotten a few things like the crib, change table, and bassinet.

I started buying around 17 weeks but couldn’t start decorating until 8 months because I had to move into a new flat- I’m now 38+5 weeks and just about finished with the nursery but not quite 😅
