Cholestasis?

Hi ladies. 35 weeks here & been experiencing severe itching all over my body. My hands, my feet, back, belly & my legs. I take showers to see if it helps but doesn’t. I read it can be Cholestasis? I never heard of it honestly. But can someone break it down to me? & if you have experienced this how was it resolved? I read it can cause stillbirth...

I saw you went in! I also am having serve itching and got tested and everything came back normal! I hope the same for you! It is driving me crazy though!

Its where the flow of bile from the liver is affected by the hormones caused in pregnancy. If you’re suspecting it or something you need to contact your doctor ASAP. They will be able to give you the best answers and advise you safely. They will most likely order a lab test. I’d call today for it because you do have to be induced early with Cholestasis you need to know for sure! My friend had this with both of her pregnancies and both babies are healthy just means a few things change. Wishing you the best 💕
