Did you wake your newborn up to eat if they didn't wake up after 4 hours?

My Doctor had me wake him every 4 hours until he was back at his birth weight. Honestly, I only had to wake him once. Otherwise he didn’t go longer than 3 hours before wanting to BF.

Nope I let my little one sleep he wakes up when he’s ready to eat sometimes that can be 4 hours or more or he’s up every two hours ready to eat.

I didn’t after my LO regained her birth weight. My pediatrician said that was okay.

No!! My son slept 14 HOURS STRAIGHT when we brought him home. Brought it up to his dr at his 2 day old apt she said don’t ever wake baby up as long as they’re gaining weight! Now he’s 1 and only sleeps 12 hours at night but better than nothing 😂
