Missed my birth control pill on the day Flow says I was ovulating..should I not take the pill again til I'm in the clear?

If you are in birth control you won’t ovulate. The only reason you get a period is due to the sudden drop in hormone levels when you are taking the placebo pills. If you skipped a pill all that does is signal to your body that it’s time for your period since your hormones dipped. Just take the pill as soon as you remember and then stick to your regular schedule. It won’t hurt you to take two pills closer together. (My close friend works at an OB practice which where I got this information).

The app isn't 100% to tell you when you're ovulating. You should always read the paperwork that comes with any medication that you are taking, it will tell you what to do when you miss a pill. Usually, but not all birth controls depending on what week you're in, tells you to take it as soon as your realize you missed it or double up the next day.

You can keep taking the pill. I would test when it is time for your period to come though in case. Taking the pill still won’t harm the baby. Obviously stop if you do find out you’re pregnant, but you can keep taking it for now.
