should i be concerned

So my period was supposed to start today but it didn’t. I put in a tampon incase it started and when i pulled my tampon, i yanked this out of me. i haven’t had any period symptoms like i normally do and i missed my pill a couple weeks ago. i know i’m probably being paranoid but i need reassurance.
