Why take it at bedtime?

Hi! I’m 10 weeks pregnant and have got thrush! I’ve been prescribed the canesten duo set with the pessary and been told to insert it at bedtime using my fingers. Just wondering why I have to take it at bedtime? Could I take it in the day but lie down for a while? I’ve been suffering for a week and just want it gone now! Xx

That way it can stay in there as long as possible. If you take it during the day itll leak out easier and faster

It will come out during the day even if you lay for an hour. At night it’s certain you’ll be in bed for hours and hours and its more effective that way
