Cervical checks and sweeps

Just out of curiosity when did your doctor first start checking your cervix for dilation? When did they do a sweep?

My first doctor never did any of that I never had a sweep and never had a cervical check until my water broke but my new doctor this pregnancy is very open to all of that and I’m considering letting her even though I know cervical checks mean nothing and sweeps don’t always put you into labor unless baby is actually ready.

My next appointment is at 37 weeks. Not sure if that’s when they start checking? I want to mentally prepare myself for it in case because I’m chickenshit when it comes to it.
