How many naps does your baby take in a day?

My son usually takes 2 naps a day but lately he refuses to take his afternoon nap. So at night hes really fussy becuase hes so tired. Wondering if it's too soon to transition him to 1 nap.

We wake up between 6:45 or 7. Go back down between 9 or 9:30 sleep till around 12. 
The is up till about 3 and sleeps till 4. 
Goes to bed around 8.

My son still does two naps, but his afternoon one has turned into a struggle for him. Most everything I’ve read says two naps at 1 year, but if you’re 100% that your child is developmentally ready for a reduction to 1 nap then it’s fine to transition to. I can tell my son is not ready for a reduction even though he’s fighting that second one. If we leave him in his room and continue to encourage a nap he is out in 5 minutes for at least 30 minutes. I think just trust what your gut is telling you - you know your baby best.

My son has been down to 1 nap for at least 2 months now. He was fighting his 2nd nap, and was getting really hard to put to bed at night. It took a few weeks for him to adjust, so we did earlier bedtimes, and the occasional 10 min powernap before dinner, but now his day sleep is between 2-3 hours (which is HEAVEN for me!) and goes straight down when we put him to bed at night

We wake up at 7 on the nose almost every day, nap 11:30 to 1:30/2 and bed at 6:30/7

Our afternoon nap is honestly awful. She wakes up anywhere from 6:30 to 8:30. Nap around 10:30. I’ve learned after that nap if we push her til 4, she’ll nap about an hour and she still goes to bed by 8.
