Considering it’s your best friend I’d be bothered. I feel like that’s kind of weird tbh, I wouldn’t give my kid the same name as my best friends kid. If it was like some stranger or even just an acquaintance I’d be okay with it. My mom and her cousin are both named Sarah after their great aunt, they feel it’s a little weird but they’re okay with it since they’re named after a special person.

We don't get to claim names, there isn't a way to patent your kids name. I think this is a really stupid thing to be upset about, let alone spend energy on. Honestly that woman should find better friends if they are going to be upset at her for "maybe" wanting to name her son the same name as another kid.

They’re naming their kid fully knowing there’s another kid in their circle with that name.
They’ll get lots of weird looks and comments but at the end of the day, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Meant to hit wouldn't be bothered. Sure it might be a little strange if I saw this friend lots and our kids hung out lots. But at the same time it's not like "Bodhi" is the only kid named that in the world.

This girl that used to be my best friend and I’m pretty sure I told her that I liked a certain name and then she names her baby boy that name. we did fall out from being friends before that baby was born but still kind of irks me. my husband still wants to use the name and I do too really

I mean, if it was a family name, it might get my knickers in a bunch. But if it's just a random name I happened to like, nah. I don't have time for that. I'd be flattered that she liked the name enough to use it.🤷‍♀️ My daughter has the same middle name as one of her cousins and it was completely by accident. It's my husband's middle name and his grandmother's middle name so I wanted to use it as well. Turns out my cousin had the same thinking and used it as her son's middle name because it's my aunt's middle name.😂😂😂 We aren't very original I guess. Lol
