For those who have had babies, what are the most important items needed in your hospital bag????

Following this 😬 I find lists on Pinterest or google but some of the stuff they say to pack sounds so pointless to me lol

Robe, chapstick, & clothes to wear home.

▪️Eye mask, my hospital had certain lights you couldn't turn off. 
▪️Reusable water bottle, you will be thirsty, especially if you're nursing. 
▪️Extension cord, you never know how far the plugs will be from the bed
▪️Reusable shipping bag you can fold into your packed bag. The hospital will send you home with so much stuff you may need an extra bag, but it can fold up small if you don't need it.

Hair ties, robe, change of loose fitting clothes (like second trimester sized), toiletries, phone charger, nursing pillow, baby’s first outfit. 
I stayed in the hospital gowns while in the hospital. I didn’t want blood on my clothes, so I waited to change until I left. But having the robe was nice. 
I also didn’t fully clothe my son until we left. He wore a sleep shirt and swaddle the hospital provided until then. They poke and prod at the newborns constantly, so it’s just easier to keep them in something basic.

I packed a toiletry bag so I could feel fresh. My own bath towel cuz the ones at the hospital are tiny even when you aren’t puffy from pregnancy. I didn’t bring a nursing pillow because my local hospital has one in each room. My own robe and slippers. Couple of my own clothes and clothes for baby. My hospital also supplies diapers so I didn’t pack any, and they suggest using a wet warm cloth for wiping baby instead of disposable wipes the first few weeks so I didn’t pack those either. I bought a battery pack for my phone so i could keep the phone in bed with me (had a c section so moving was painful) and have it charge all night and then charge the battery pack during the day.

I love having my rob socks but i normal use the hospital so i dont have to wear mine there, i liked to wear night gowns if u want to some clothes for the baby i never did with my first. Phone charger.  Some cash or something on u some place have sucky food. Sandles for the showers.  Granny panties lol. Hair ties... i noticed i got bored alot so something can entertain u. Tablet magazines. Cards maybe.

Honestly I don’t know if anyone does this, but I bring my own bath towels because that first shower after birth is EVERYTHING and hospital towels are literally so rough, scratchy and small. That was a big thing for me.
