confused.. anyone else?!

so I have been ttc by using this app for the last 8 months, trying to track my period and when I’m ovulating and it’s always off. I always start my period like a week before it says I am and then when it says I’m ovulating I usually take an ovulation test and it’ll say negative so I’m not sure what I should be doing in order to find the accurate days. is this happening or has happened to anyone, what did you do? or any tips on how to figure it out easier.

Since your ovulation is off in the app, your period will be too. Unfortunately, the app is just an estimate (I ovulate CD 19 which isn’t aligned with the calendar). Do you use OPKs more than just the one day? I would use OPKs after your period 1-2 x per day until you get a positive. Once you get a positive OPK, your period will also adjust in the calendar!

The app isn’t always accurate and is just a guess. The best way to find out when you are ovulating is using OPKs to determine that and then putting it into your log. Then it’ll usually change you ovulation date and may change your period start date
