6 week scan showing 4 week sac - anyone else had this?

Question

It’s my first pregnancy and yesterday I went for an early scan at 6 weeks on the nose for reassurance - which has done the total opposite.
They could only see a 3.3mm sac, no yolk or anything else. Apparently I am only 4 weeks but I am sure of my dates as we used opk sticks.
I’m terrified I’m going to misscarry, but I’m still having symptoms like sore boobs and I’ve not had any bleeding or cramping. 
What do you think? Do I have a chance or should I prepare for the worst?

Ovulation isn't date of conception, and i wouldn't base your weeks on opks. Dating scans are pretty accurate. And aside from counting by the first day of your last period, unless you know the exact date the egg implanted, i would go with the scan dates. So, unless there's a miscarriage risk (dont let this freak you out, please) it would be pretty safe to say you're not as far along as you think. This happens a lot!

I was certain I was 7w when going for my first scan. But measured at 5w. He ended up growing accurately to the dating scan and now have a beautiful 7month old. 
Don't try to stress yourself. Hope you see more your next scan x

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. And I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news but I’d start preparing for a miscarriage. Especially if you’re certain of your dates. The same thing happened to me. I ended up passing it at 8 weeks. BUT I am hoping for a better outcome for you. I’ll be praying for you and I hope all goes well. Thanks so much for all your replies, next scan is in 3 weeks (I might try and get it in two though).
The waiting and not knowing is so hard as you all know :( I never considered how stressful starting a family would be. Thanks again 🤞

I started cramping and bleeding today :( 
Feeling sad and a bit lonely, (husband is in the states on business and has a v important meeting today so I’ve not told him as I know he’ll be really upset); but also feeling strangely relieved - just keen to get on with trying again, hopefully better luck next time.
Can’t be bothered to go to the doctors, just going to wait it out at home and watch movies and eat chocolate. Thanks for all your help guys xx

Keep in mind ovulation can happen up to 36-48 hours after a positive opk and implantation can take up to almost 2 weeks. I wouldn't worry until the next scan gives you a reason to. It's normal to measure later than what you think you are.
