New Diagnosis

Meghan

I’m 17 and I’ve always had bad issues with my period like 10 day periods, horrific cramps that keep me in my bed, very heavy periods, and multiple months of skipped periods. My OBGYN told me when I was 15 that I was just infertile and that I was being overly sensitive. She always told me that going on birth control to regulate it, would make me never be able to have kids, and refused to give me any. I just got a new primary care doctor and I explained everything to her, and she believes I have Polycystic Ovarian Symptom (PCOS) and she’s sending me to a better OBGYN who will help me with this diagnosis and make my life easier. My new doctor told me that birth control would be a great option for me to regulate everything. I’m so happy to finally have a doctor believe me and to have an actual diagnosis!
