Weight During Pregnancy
So I'm 5ft2 and about 154 lbs, which is about 20lbs over what I like to be. I had some hormonal issues and depression that caused me to gain weight. I was hoping to lose the last 20 before I got pregnant, but that didn't happen. My doctor said she would like to see me only gain about 25lbs, but I'm curious if anyone has been overweight when they got pregnant, and didn't gain the full amount that was expected. Is that okay? Is most of that weight from baby and fluid? I want my baby to be healthy first and foremost. So if I "need" to gain 25 lbs that is fine. BEING SUPER HONEST HERE....The thought of gaining 25lbs scares me...I'm terrified of getting high blood pressure or developing other complications. Anyone else in the same boat?
I don't want anyone to think I'm saying you can't be overweight and have a healthy pregnancy, or that being overweight is an awful thing. I've struggled with body issues my whole life and I'm just looking for someone who maybe had similar fears. ❤
Btw I'm currently 13 weeks, 4 days.
