Who make the placenta?

My husband and I are fighting over something stupid but I feel unappreciated and I feel that my body gets unappreciated going through everything that it has been through with having 3 babies. So I just wanted to see if anyone knows who makes the placenta mom, dad or baby.

Hahaha last time I checked my husband never stuck a placenta in me. He was busy drinking beers while I was puking and making it during the first trimester

The beautiful thing about pregnancy, is that it is all about the two of you coming together as one to help create a whole new person. As it turns out, genes from both of you also create the placenta to support the baby. Think of the placenta as an organ that unites the 3 of you as a family. 💗

Once the egg is fertilized, it becomes an embryo.  As the embryo grows, it forms 2 types of cells in the first 5 days.  One type is the placental cells that will form and become the placenta.  The other type of cells becomes the baby.  That's why when doing ivf, they grade the placental cells and the "Baby" cells.  The embryo wasn't even in my body yet, and the placental cells were already being formed by the embryo/baby.  
It's all the embryo (which of course came from mom and dad).
