How to stop breastfeeding less than a week in

Hi everyone, breastfeeding just isnt working out as planned for me. My breasts are so engorged they are painful I can't even hold my son up to them. It seems he has a good latch but is always hungry so I started pumping. He does much better with the bottle and at least I know how much he is getting. I just dont think I can do it anymore. I can only feed with a shield and its causing major gas for him.

How do we start formula and wean (me) off of breastfeeding?
