Does no contact work?

My boyfriend broke up with me August 8 because of distance and he was scared he couldn’t love me. I asked him if we would ever get back together he said “idk a part of me wants too” I decided to cut all contact today. I noticed he watches my Instagram story SUPER FAST like as soon as I put it up fast. I also expressed I’m very much moving on with my love life. Should I have hope or should I just actually move on and forget him?

Move on honey. Long distance doesn't work for everyone. I would break up with someone too if they're moving to another country or somewhere far
