I called immediately upon a positive test, was scheduled for a 7 week ultrasound (early), and a first “official” appointment at 9 weeks where they did another ultrasound, went over all info, and did additional bloodwork. Upon calling, I requested bloodwork just to test my HCG and progesterone levels. I had a prior miscarriage so that’s why I had the 7 week ultrasound (baby pretty much looks like a booger at that point so don’t expect much that early on btw lol), and requesting immediate bloodwork was really important to me. Even if you haven’t experienced prior loss, it’s still worth it to get the bloodwork done to test those levels; my progesterone level ended up being low so I had to go on progesterone suppositories until 11 weeks. I was relieved to find out so early so that I could take care of it.

Call right away and your docs office will schedule you whenever they want. Some docs see as soon as 6 weeks, some wait til like 10
