How many DPO should you start testing ?

ANY AND ALL ADVICE WELCOME🤗

I’m new to TTC(this is my first month) I’m dying to start testing but don’t wanna start too early and waste tests. I’m currently 6 DPO, I haven’t had any symptoms of anything really other than today maybe just overly exhausted and have a headache today, boobs are fine as of now I typically get super sore boobs before my periods, I did notice the very slightest cramping today it was brief not even a minute maybe and barely even hurt. I’m going crazy I’ve wanted a baby for so long but I have a crazy gut feeling it didn’t happen this time, and I totally understand it’s only the first time we started trying. HELP😰
