First appointment

I’ve had two miscarriage and I have hypothyroidism. I just found out I was pregnant around 3 weeks might be sooner or later. I’m 4 weeks almost 5 weeks now. I’ve had my HCG tested and my levels are rising I’m also on progesterone. My first beta was low and the OB didn’t want to make me an appointment until it was increasing. So they made me an appointment but it will be around 7/8 weeks. My question is it normal to have such a late appointment after two miscarriage? I asked to make it earlier and they won’t let me. Any advice helps. I’ve just heard so many people get them earlier after miscarriages. Thank you!
