Husband coffee shames me.

He thinks the baby is going to get addicted to coffee. That instead of crying for milk the baby will cry for coffee.

He’s always asking me if I drank coffee and how many times this week.

I told him about the daily recommendation no more than 200mg a day. So one cup is fine.

I have coffee about 4x a week.

Do you guys think there’s some truth to what he’s saying? Am I doing too much?

Thank you.

With his logic then if you drink apple juice, the baby will cry for Apple juice instead of milk, or if you drink water, baby will cry for water. And if you eat cheeseburgers then the baby will want cheeseburgers. It doesn't work that way, dude. Caffeine doesn't cross into the placenta and have major effects unless it's in high doses.

What a dick. Show him the research articles about caffeine and up to 200 mgs and then ask your doctor at the next appointment he comes to with you to shame him.

I’m sure I’m over the recommended coffee limit pretty frequently 😂🤷‍♀️ it’s not like my baby will come out with the shakes, I drank so much coffee with my 2 girls and they’re fine. I dislike comments like that so much as if someone’s snorting coke while pregnant. ITS LITERALLY NOT THE SAME 💀
