FWB Question....

So I have a FWB, but the benefits are just messing around. We have not had sex and that’s because I have HSV type 2. He knows I have it because I’m not going to be intimate in any way without informing someone about that (because I was done wrong and wasn’t told which is how I got it) and i do care about him so i do not want us to be messing around and him get it then it affect him like it has me. I ended up staying the night with him, we showered together and messed around obviously while we were in there. But he had asked how the previous people i had slept with (since I’ve had HSV) didn’t catch it. And i explained I’ve only been with 2 people since then (one of them is the person who gave it to me) and that i take medicine to prevent breakouts and it helps with not spreading it to others but it’s not 100% because there’s always a risk. And I asked him why he asked and he said he was just curious so I brushed it off. The next morning I had to leave early to go to work the next morning so I woke him to let him know I was leaving and locking the door behind me. When I did he said “okay babe, have a good day” (which we don’t have “pet names” or anything like that). And I gave him a hug and when I went to back away from the hug he was still holding onto me very tightly and wouldn’t let go then kissed me on the neck so I gave him a kiss on the shoulder and left. I know he was still kind of asleep so I think I should just brush it off as he didn’t know what he was saying but it just had me a little shook up because that’s not normal for him to act like that. I just want advice and just let it roll off my back as if it’s nothing or is he getting interested in more? Either way I’m keeping my guard up because I won’t take anyone or anything serious until they come out with it and actually show me their serious. I’m just confused and want other people’s input/outlook on the situation.
