Lord, give me strength!
My perfect sleeper has turned into the devil.
Usually all it took was a book, cuddle and kiss goodnight and she would be out like a light. Sleeping 1.5 during the day and at least 10.5 during the night without waking.
Now it’s taking 1 hour just for her to go to sleep, if she’s not trying to climb down from her bed to escape her room. She doesn’t cry mostly, it’s just she doesn’t wind down and refuses to be quiet and stay still. She squirms and talks and sings and plays in her bed in the dark for a good hour before falling asleep.
If she does decide to get upset about nap/bed time then it’s really a mission.. she will cry inconsolably and I’m constantly going in to reassure her that everything’s okay, she needs sleep to be big and strong, she will have nice dreams etc.
Is anyone else’s kid doing similar? Is it a sleep regression? I’m also currently 35 weeks pregnant and will not be able to deal with this and a newborn. 😐
