First midwife appt today 11 weeks - will she use Doppler?

I have my first midwife appointment this afternoon at 11 weeks pregnant. 
Will my midwife use a doppler to check on my baby’s heartbeat??

No - not until 16 weeks

Mine did. But she told me that there was a chance the heartbeat might not be heard because I was only 10 or so weeks

Yes she will :) my midwive did anyways :) I could hear my baby’s heart beat at 8 weeks! 😊

Probably.  I heard all 3 of mine at my 8 week appointments, 2 different doctors and a midwife.

Mine didn’t until my 20 weeks :)

Mine tried, we couldn’t find it. He said it was normal and I refused to leave without an ultrasound because I was in a panic. We found baby boy quick.. the next month, same thing.. 14 weeks and nothing.. ultrasound was good. Finally at 18 weeks we heard him on the Doppler. This has never taken this long in previous pregnancies. I’m a little bigger this time around too.. I’m sure my fat has a lot to do with it.
