What are things I should buy for my recovery?

I'm a great canidate for a VBAC so I have no idea what I need to prepare for labor and recovery. I had just finished buying all of baby's things and realized I only have breast pads and nipple cream for myself. Plus I have my going home outfit ready. What are some essentials y'all used for recovery???

Depends! They are more comfortable than they sound and i would put pads inside them it was better than bleeding all over my own under wear. They will give you a lovely little spray bottle at the hospital to use when you go to the bathroom and I dont know about your hospital but i had tearing both times and they gave me this awesome topical numbing spray that i applied each time i was done using the toilet it worked wonders. They give you these awesome frozen pads at the hospital that feel awesome so you might look into ways you can get those for at home but really I'm sure its not any worse than recovering from a c section!

Honestly vaginal births are a breeze recovery wise compared to c sections (I've had 2 vaginal births and 2 c sections) so you don't really need anything specific for vaginal birth recovery except if you tear then maybe a cushion to sit on or you can put pads in the freezer.
