Do you have your baby sleep with a lovey, stuffed animal, or blanket?

I’m debating allowing my son to sleep with a lovey. (I’ve allowed it for supervised sleep, and it brings him comfort, which helps him to fall asleep.) I know that *technically* it’s not recommended for babies to sleep with anything in their crib until after they’re a year old, though...

I cover my son with a swaddle blanket bc it’s so light weighted that if he put it on his face he can breathe through it. (I tested it out myself and can breathe just fine with it pressed against my face) I usually just cover him with it but he sometimes finds it in the middle of the night and snuggles with it.

My daughter has slept with a small security blanket stuffy thing for about 2 months now. She won’t sleep without it. As soon as I put her in her crib she grabs it.

I think something that small should be fine. We were going to try a lovie that was similar with my son but he wasn’t into it, however a great safety test is to lay baby down and gently place the lovie over his face. If he is easily able to pull it off then you should be good for giving it for sleep.

My daughter sleeps with one of those things except it's smaller but had a girl with pink tails for the head. She loves it. She sleeps with it 24/7 and she likes putting it on her face to sleep sometimes XD she sleeps with blankets as well because she loves the softness and it makes her comfy. But its wrapped around her waist and her arms and head and chest are free. She sleeps perfectly fine.  It's funny when she rolls onto her belly because it's still wrapped around her but she's perfectly safe. That should be fine for your baby
