Am I wrong for expecting my partner to tell me where he goes? We live together and he literally just walks in and out of the house without even saying a word to me.

I think it's a respect thing. We like to know where one another's going and approximately how long it'll be just in case something bad happens etc.

i think it’s quite disrespectful. Doesn’t matter who i’m living with ill always say i’m heading out to ... i’ll see you soon. It’s just a nice thing and id expect it from my partner 100%!

Why do you want to find reasons for this? I mean I can't wrap my head around living under the same roof with a person you love and not tell where you are going. Safety, respect, love whatever you call, that's relationship 101! There's no other way to do it.

You know you’re leaving out the door far more than 10 mins before you actually do it and at no point did you feel the need to let me know what you were about to do? Disrespectful lack of communication. At least you can know where he’s going for if anything happens

Uh yeah. He does not need to tell you every single place he is going. I mean if you’re both home I think it’s reasonable to expect “hey I’m heading out for a few.”. But to expect “I’m going to target, Publix, and Office Depot” is a bit much much. The only time I tell my SO I’m going somewhere is if he’s home too or if I’m on my way home from work and have to stop somewhere.

He should tell you for safety reasons. If he leaves and something happens, then the police show up and ask you questions and you say I didn't know he was there or gone from the house, then he will look at you sideways😒😒😕😕😕. If he won't tell you where he going, ask him and if no legit answer, then turn the tables....
