I was telling my bf I love him and he said “I don’t” and I told him if he was messing around and he said yes. 
We’ve been dating for 8 months and he does tell me he loves me but after he said this idk if he really was joking that he doesn’t.

Depends on your kind of relationship. But I wouldn’t think to much on it. My husband and I mess around all the time. We love each other to pieces. He is my rock, my partner, my best friend. Nothing wrong with joking around.

If I do something petty he’ll be petty back and say things like “nope don’t kiss me” and if I say I love you he’ll say “mhm I bet” lmfao but I know he does he’s just tryna piss me off

We do say it to each other all the times but when we are just being silly, we’d say that to each other like “ew, I don’t luv u” “me too?? Go away??” Lol, but we will be like ehhh nah I love you more to each other. So, it’s normal to just joke around but if you feel uncomfortable with that, then talk to him about it.

If he does, he’ll make it obvious that he’s joking. And he wouldn’t do that every time because that just gets exhausting
