Am I going to get my period?

I was supposed to start my period in 2 days and I had stopped taking my birth control for a couple months. 2 days before I was supposed to start my period I got a new prescription for birth control and started taking it like usual again. does that mean i’m not gonna start my period until I end this month of birth control? I am a couple days late and I just don’t want to stress about it for a whole month since I am sexually active.
