Last night, my 19 month old daughter fell off the couch & whacked her forehead on an end table on the way down. The goose egg & bruise on her forehead immediately showed up. It looked bad so I decided to take her to the ER to get her looked at. She never lost consciousness or threw up but as a first time mom I know I wouldn’t have been able to sleep if I didn’t have her looked at.

The doctor agreed it was a good size goose egg & said we should do a CT scan to make sure she doesn’t have a concussion or something more serious. The whole time we were at the ER she was acting normal.

Her CT scan came back normal. Doctor said to put some ice on it & give her some Tylenol for pain if needed.

This morning when she woke up it looks SO much better.

But I’ve noticed she’s kind of unsteady on her feet. She’s more clumsy than she usually is. She fell walking the 2 feet from our bedroom to the living room to go play this morning. I figured it was just because she was still tired (we didn’t get home until 1am). But it’s almost 3pm & she’s still quite clumsy.

Is this normal? Should I be concerned? The ER doctor said to follow up with her pediatrician - should I give her a call?
