What about you?

Hey guys! Just had a quick question for women who has had a normal healthy pregnancy! How many ultrasounds did you get? I’m 29 weeks and recently discovered that 2 ultrasounds is normal?? I had no idea! I thought they would at least do 1 per trimester! 
My 2 ultrasounds have come and gone and I’m sad that I might now get to see baby girl again until I have her. 😞 They didn’t even tell me, “hey this is probably the last scan you’ll get if things go good.” I would’ve tried to sneak video tape it or at least cherish the moment more!!! UGH!

i had one at 12, 14 (by accident. was a scheduling mistake), 20. those were all the “medical” ones i had. i went to a place where they do 3D ultrasounds and paid for one at 32 weeks but we didn’t get to see baby much because she was squished so they offered for me to come back for free at 34 weeks. so i had 5 but paid for 1 and got 1 for free. i think 2-3 is normal for a normal pregnancy.

It all depends on your dr and your insurance and if your high risk or what not.
My ob is amazing but hes classified as a high risk pregnancy dr even though with my 1st i wasnt high risk i got one at every appointment and im currently 37weeks with my 2nd and considered high risk this time and i get one at every appointment with this baby as well. 
My mom started taking me to him since i was 15 for birth control so i just stayed with him.

I think I just had two the first time around. I don’t remember a third US, but I’ll have my memory jogged next week at my 8 week appointment.

I've only had one and I'm 23 weeks, although I was supposed to have a second one waaay earlier that just got all messed up with scheduling. But now I'm going to have to have more bc of my placenta being low.

Depends on the doctors office. Typically though I’ve always heard you get two or three. Once at about 8 weeks for the heartbeat and dating, once during week 12 if you decide to get the exam to test for Down syndrome and all that, and then a third during week 18-20 for the anatomy scan. Some places will do a third trimester check depending on how you’re measuring. 
You can always ask for another one but you’d have to pay for it. It won’t be covered by insurance unless you’re high risk or the ultrasound is totally necessary.

Yup that’s normal. The one in 3rd trimester is usually for a growth scan if baby is measuring to big/small. 
But a perfectly healthy pregnancy only 2 ultrasounds are necessary
