I live in vegas, so I did take him to 3 as a newborn. And 2 out of state lol

Ya, just wear him. 
I see it no diffrent as having a baby around Christmas time.
My daughter was 4 weeks at Christmas and this one will be 3 weeks at Christmas. Just be careful with how many people hold him and still take precautions with people washing their hands. 
And 6 week olds are easy. They sleep and eat. 6 months old would be more difficult IMO.
If you wear the baby peolle will be less inclined to grab him amd insists on holding him and he will sleep really well and you'll have your hands free and not have to lug around a huge stroller and seat and everything around the reception
