Labels for day care

Baby will be starting at day care in a couple of weeks & they want all her clothes labeled. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to do that? I do have fabric markers but i was hoping to not have something quite that permanent because I might have another baby one day &/or hand these down. Some of her clothes are hand me downs & the original owner would like to give them to her niece once I’m finished with them. I also have a sewing machine that has an embroidery attachment, but who has time for sewing? And thoughts would be appreciated!
