Brown period blood

Hello all! I just wanted to ask if anyone knows if brown period blood is normal. I am currently on day 3 of my period, have about 2 days left. My period at this point its really light to the point where I can wear just liners. At the start of my periods my blood is a bright red color and is very heavy. Around this time of my period my blood is always brown even when wiping myself. I know blood can look dark if the pad/liner hasn't been changed in a while, but this definitely isn't even a dark red. Should I get myself checked out and be concerned?
