are super “sticky” periods normal? (more info below)

So at the very beginning of my period its always bright red blood and then by the second day it’s dark (usually brown) and thick - like all blood clots, barely any liquid blood.

I’m just wondering if this is normal? My periods used to be more liquidy, and would only have a few blood clots each day. Having darker/brown periods is fairly normal for me as I had one every few cycles, but now it’s almost exclusively dark/brown.

I’m mostly concerned about the clots.

TLDR: are periods that are mostly blood clots normal?
