Is this a new pregnancy ?

I had a miscarriage 7 1/2 weeks ago and got a vfl today, but I’m scared it’s just leftover hormones from my loss. A few weeks after my miscarriage, they did an ultrasound and my doctor told me that it looked like everything passed. 
On 7/19: my levels were at 11
On 7/30: my levels were at a 5
Is it possible that it’s still leftover hormones or am I safe to assume it’s an new pregnancy?

If they were only a 5 on 7/30 I wouldn’t suspect it being from the loss. Mose pregnancy tests don’t read until around 50, other than blood drawl.

Call the dr! I miscarried 3/8/19 waited for my period never got it 5 &1/2 weeks waiting for it to come I decided to take a test for some odd reason....it instantly came up positive with a dark line (dark lines or faint lines means nothing per my dr positive is positive) went for blood work the next day my hcg came back at 26,000😱 we were thinking it could have been left over from the miscarriage since my blood work got lost they never knew what my hcg level was but did a pregnancy test in office at my visit to make sure everything passed and it came back negative. Fast forward my dr sent me two days later for an ultrasound and I was 6 weeks pregnant with a heartbeat and all 😱😱😱😱 I wasn’t expecting that at all. I some how got pregnant the week before my body showed signs of miscarriage baby had stopped growing almost two weeks before I bled or knew anything was wrong. Anyways so here I am now 23 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby girl!!! 💕  I’m exactly as far along as how many weeks ago my miscarriage was. So shocking and still hard to understand but 100% possible! Good luck 🤞🏼🙏🏼

See your doctor for a blood test to confirm. I miscarried April 2 at just under 8 weeks and by May there was a new pregnancy.

It takes 3 to 6 weeks with a full pregnancy for it to leave system. At 5 hcg, you would barely see anything on a hot and it would be long gone. If you see a darker line in 2 days its new.

I suppose its definitely possible, but 7+weeks is a good amount of time. Maybe if you were pretty far along, but if you were in the early stages I would say no for sure. I would definitely look farther into it. 7 weeks is a good distance of time.
